GO 2008 - Missions Conference

GO '08 Update:
God greatly blessed as WFMC concentrated on Serving the World last weekend! People were refreshed as they were inspired to become “Hands for the Harvest.”
And God blessed our church family with Generosity! $50,069 was contributed with $450 pledged for a total of $50,519.06. PTL!
Featured guest speakers:
Dr. Art Brown - Dr. Brown serves as Director of Free Methodist World Missions and is responsible for the missions program outside the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. He will be our featured speaker during both worship services on Sunday morning.
Jerry and Jan Coleman - Jerry and Jan Coleman have been Free Methodist missionaries to Europe since 1996. Jerry is the Europe Area Director and currently oversees Free Methodist work and initiatives in 13 European countries. Jan is leader of the Budapest mission team. Jerry and Jan will be featured at the Men’s Breakfast (Jerry) and Women’s Brunch (Jan) on Saturday morning, Saturday evening service, Sunday morning Missions Class and Sunday evening service.
Greg and Brenda Hendrick – Greg and Brenda are Free Methodist missionaries appointed to the European country of Ukraine. Greg serves as Regional Director for Eastern Europe. Their ministries include leadership development within the local Rivne and Kyiv (formerly Kiev) regions and evangelism and compassion ministries, especially relating to orphans and pensioners. Greg and Brenda will be featured in the Saturday evening service, Sunday morning Missions Class and Sunday evening service.
Marcie Huson - Marcie is Education Coordinator for Free Methodist work on the continent of Europe, where she has been serving since 1998. She works with the ordination process for new pastors, and also works closely with the churches in the United Kingdom conference, helping to promote missions. Marcie will be featured in the Sunday morning Missions Class and Sunday evening service.
Thad Roller – Thad Roller grew up on the mission field in Mexico and Chile. After moving back to Spring Arbor and finishing High School in Michigan, Thad attended Spring Arbor University and graduated in 2004 with a major in missions. During college Thad initiated a Spanish-speaking initiative in Jackson, MI - which has since become an FMC fellowship called Jackson Comunidad Agua Viva, where he is now pastoring a church with his wife Nikki. Thad will be featured in the Saturday evening service, Sunday morning High School / Jr. High gathering, and Sunday evening service.
Trey Bailey – Trey and his wife Terri have been missionaries with SCORE International since March 2001. SCORE International is a ministry to expose people to short term missions. Trey currently serves as the Vice President of Administration in Tennessee where he helps groups and leaders plan and organize their trips, one of those being our Youth Mission Trip to Costa Rica in March. Trey will be featured at the mid-week High School and Jr. High events on Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 13-14. |
