Children of teh Nations

COTN Food Packaging Project

Feeding tens of thousands of children daily is no small undertaking! And, it is only made possible through the efforts of many volunteers. The COTN feeding program staff will travelled to WFMC, set up the assembly-line process, provided all the supplies and training, and oversaw the entire event. Our goal was 80,000 nutritionally balanced, ready-to-cook meals, consisting of rice, protein packed lentils, dehydrated vegetables, spices, and chicken powder. The meal packs, sealed in industrial-grade plastic bags, are waterproof and have a shelf life of seven years. These meals will feed children in Dominican Republic or Malawi.

What is Children of the Nations?

Their mission is to partner with nationals to provide holistic, Christ-centered care for the orphaned and destitute children, enabling them to create positive and lasting change in their nations. Since their inception as a non-profit in 1995, they have impacted the lives of thousands of children. They currently focus their efforts on Sierra Leone, Malawi, Uganda, and the Dominican Republic. Children of the Nations is a movement of people - a worldwide body of people with a common passion who deny themselves to care for children. Children of the Nations (COTN) is not a relief organization or a “missionary sending” agency, but rather utilizes individuals from around the globe, tapping into their talents and resources in a professional manner, which strategically assists the overall mission in accomplishing its goals.

Water Filters for Haiti - $3,000

Meeting this goal, which will be matched by the Sawyer Corporation, will provide an additional 120 water purifying filters to families in Haiti for life. This amazing technology will give the gift of healthy drinking water where many children die of water borne diseases each year. A Clean Cup of Water project.

Wheelchairs for Nigeria: From dust to dignity - $4,000

We have $6000 that has been accumulated since our original 200 wheelchair thrust and with this additional offering we will have enough to acquire and transport 300 more wheelchairs to be distributed to disabled Muslims in Nigeria. The gift of a wheelchair makes a big impact on individuals and families who have never received help before.

Kericho Free Methodist Church - $13,000

We helped in construction of the school and church in Kericho, Kenya years ago. But the church building was never completed. Last fall we were able to send $8000 for them to hire workers to put in the floor. With this offering we should be able to help them finish the plastering, electrical work, and install doors and windows.
