Mark Butcher, Interim Lead Pastor

Dr. Mark Butcher is currently serving as WFMC's intentional Interim Lead Pastor. Dr Mark is one of the Transitional Interim Pastors (TIPS) at NCS, the non-profit consulting group that is helping WFMC during the Lead Pastor transition. The contracted stay for TIPS pastor is usually 9-12 months, so Pastor Mark will be at WFMC for this duration of time. Pastor Mark is married to Paula and they have three sons: Claton, Traver, and Bradley. Please pray for Pastor Mark and Paula as they lead the staff and church.

Pastor Les Krober

For 40 years, Les has pastored and/or served in regional or national leadership roles of the FMC-USA. Now, in his 18th year of service at WFMC, he helps carry out the mandate for pastors explained in Ephesians 4:12,"Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do His work and build up the church, the body of Christ." As such, Les enjoys developing lay leaders, teams, and task force groups; even as he oversees the Small Group and Starting Point ministries. His spiritual gifts lie in areas of pastoring, teaching, and administration. He helps individuals to explore their faith, deepen in Christ, and experience Christian community.

Les and Peggy (whom he believes God providentially prepared to be a pastor's spouse and his wife) have three married Christ-following children and five grandchildren.

Cindy Maynard, Administrative Assistant, Equipping & Small Groups

Cindy was raised in Wenatchee and has been a lifelong member of WFMC. Cindy is passionate about the life and purpose of the church and feels blessed to be able to support the Small Groups and Equipping ministry under Pastor Les.

Hosting family (including two sweet grandkids!) and friends is her favorite pastime. Cindy loves creating stuff, playing games, and exploring the Oregon Coast.

Pastor Mike Henry

For over 25 years, Mike has been in ministry with a passion to help people have faith encounters with Jesus Christ. He brings experience and giftedness in spiritual direction and inner-healing to our congregation. He has served as a missionary to Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and has led short-term teams to Nigeria and Colombia. Before coming to WFMC, Mike was a pastor in Sunnyside, WA, where he oversaw the planting of a Hispanic congregation. He earned his bachelor's degree in Religion/Greek at Seattle Pacific University, a Masters of Divinity at Western Evangelical Seminary, and Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Seminary. His wife, Shelley, is his ministry partner and mother to their four adult children.

Pastor Kaye Kolde

Kaye is still celebrating that Jesus has saved her and set her free! Her passions are mentoring and teaching, as well as helping the WFMC family to become disciples that experience transformed lives and make a kingdom impact in their families and their circles of influence. Kaye has been married to her husband, Dave, for 19 years and they have two teenagers, Gray and Emi. She enjoys adventures with her family, being outside, reading, and coffee with friends.

Pastor Chris McCormick

Chris and his wife Michelle are new to the Wenatchee community. They both were born and raised in Southern California where Chris graduated from Biola University and became the youth pastor at his home church. After graduating from Denver Seminary, they lived in Jamaica for 7 months training pastors. After 20 years as a Youth Pastor, Chris became the Pastor of Family Ministries in Palo Alto, California for the past 8 years where he developed his love and passion to encourage, equip, and strengthen families.

Chris and Michelle have been married for 28 years and are loving the “empty nest” after raising their two boys. Blake is in college at Moody Bible Institute, Chicago studying to go into the ministry. Evan and his wife Britny are in Colorado preparing to go to Uganda to live and serve at an orphanage in Gulu. When Chris isn’t outside enjoying skiing, climbing, hiking, or fishing you’ll find him at the movie theater watching the latest action flick.

 

 

Pastor Ryan Pott, Director of Student Ministries

Ryan and His wife Katie are new to the Wenatchee community. They met and were married in St. Louis, Missouri. After obtaining his B.A. and M.A. in Pastoral Ministry, Ryan and Katie met while both leading in student ministries. Ryan is an ordained pastor and was on staff at his previous church for 10 years serving in student ministries. Ryan loves equipping volunteers and enjoys hanging out with middle school and high school students who are from all walks of life and faith backgrounds. Ryan and Katie enjoy their motorcycle, love the outdoors, and especially their chocolate lab, Ruger. They have happily converted to be Seahawks fans, but are also ‘missionaries’- committed to making all of Wenatchee St. Louis Cardinal fans. GO CARDS!

 

Heather Scott, Administrative Assistant, Family Ministries

Heather grew up in California, but moved to Seattle in 1995 to attend Seattle Pacific University. She was on staff at Warm Beach Free Methodist Church for four years, and have then been home for the past nine years enjoying her role as Mama! Heather has two boys, Micah and Levi, who bring her so much joy.

Heather has lived in Wenatchee for three years and really loves this valley and all of the outdoor activities it offers. She also loves the small town feel and the four distinct seasons. Heather loves to hike, camp, and spend time with family and friends. She also loves to take long walks, bake, and read in the sunshine.

 

Marie Carlson, Director of Children's Ministries

Marie Carlson has worked with children in the Wenatchee area for the past 16 years. Her husband, Dave, teaches English and Debate at Wenatchee High School and they have been blessed with four children: Andrew, Jacob, Emma, and Abby. Marie loves hanging out with her family, and occationally enjoys participating in musical theater. She is blessed with being able to serve here at WFMC in an area that mixes her passion for God, children, and the creative arts!

 

Casey Satterfield, Mainstreet Coordinator

Casey Satterfield with her husband Phil, have been involved with youth ministries and serving throughout the Wenatchee Valley for 15 years. They met here at WFMC in college youth group and were also married in this church. They have been blessed with three active boys, Micah, Caden, and Cohen. Casey loves to learn and is currently finishing her Bachelors degree and is excited to serve alongside parents discipling young hearts to know and love Jesus.

 

Worship & Creative Arts 

 

 

Chris Lund, Worship & Creative Arts Lead

Chris joined the Worship & Creative Arts team in 1996. His role has evolved over time, becoming the ministry leader in 2012. Drawing on his experience with music, worship leading, video production, writing and graphic design, Chris' goal is to lead a team that utilizes creative communication to create a Sunday morning environment where people can connect with God.

Chris and his family moved to Wenatchee in 1994. His wife Jody, has taught Kindergarten and 1st Grade since 1986, joining the Sunnyslope School staff in 2000. They have three sons who grew up at WFMC: Drew and Spencer who are currently in college, and Cory (married to Alicia) who is in graduate school.

 

 

Pastor Soo Ji Alvarez, Director of Worship

Soo Ji is an ordained elder with the Free Methodist church. She graduated cum laude from Northwest University in Kirkland, WA with a BA in Church Music with an emphasis in Conducting and minors in Piano and Voice.

Soo Ji is a Korean Canadian American happily married to her husband Joe of nine years. Together they are blessed to have two kids, Juaquin, a creative little 6 year old son, and Nayara, a spunky 4 1/2 year old daughter. Soo Ji is passionate about worshiping God through the creative arts such as music, dance, and drama. She longs to see God’s transformational power being poured out through vibrant corporate worship. Besides God, her family, and music, her favorite things in life are Hello Kitty, curry, and laughter with good friends.

 

Seth Veteto, Production Assistant

Seth has attended WFMC since moving to Wenatchee in 7th grade. He joined the Worship & Creative Arts team in 2013 and is excited to work in this creative environment and share his ideas. Seth works with video production and website podcast management.

Seth is married to Hannah. When Seth is not serving at WFMC he enjoys reading, meeting with students, and spending time with his bride.

 

Joanna Hess, Administrative Assistant, Worship & Creative Arts

Joanna and her husband, Jason, moved to Wenatchee with their three children (Bodi, 7, Zeke, 4, and Eliana, 2) in 2011 after living on the west side for seven years. They are originally from Palo Alto, California, but moved to Virginia after getting married. They moved to the Seattle area after Jason was hired with the Seattle Fire Department. They recently finished building their house close to Mission Ridge where they will be spending a lot of time this winter. When Joanna is not keeping up with their three kids, she enjoys writing and playing music, gardening, and being outside.

Sandee Didtel, Director of Finance Ministries

Sandee has lived in Wenatchee most of her life and has been serving at Wenatchee Free Methodist Church since 1994. In her work, she deals with finances in many different ways and enjoys all aspects of her job. She has a passion to share biblical stewardship because of the deep significance it has in a person's spiritual development and relationship to God.

Larry and Sandee have three children, Eric (wife Kaila), Kaisa, and Kady. In her spare time, Sandee enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her family.

 

Brenda Reinholt, Bookkeeper

After graduating from CWU with a BA in Office Management, Brenda lived in the Yakima Valley until moving to Wenatchee in 2005. WFMC became her new church family as she attended services and met people through volunteering with Children's Ministries. Currently Brenda assists the Financial Ministries Office as a bookkeeper.

Brenda and her husband Steve enjoy attending youth sporting events, and have two grown children - Hailee and Braden.

Facilities 

 

Pat Bren, Director of Facilities

Pat has worked on commercial buildings since 1976. He has worked as a Facility Manager, Painter, Groundsman, Maintenance man, Custodian, and Display Manager. He left the Wenatchee School District Maintenance Department in 2006 to become the Director of Facilities at WFMC. He has a passion for buildings operating efficiently and being well maintained as well as helping people utilize their gift of craftsmanship and helps.

Pat and his wife, Becky, have two grown children that grew up serving at WFMC and continue to serve their local churches. Serving has been a big part of their family DNA.

Evey Barnett, Administrative Assistant in Facilities, Receptionist

Evey has been working at WFMC for 21 years, working in various ministry settings.

She is married to Herb and their greatest joy is spending time with their children
and grandchildren.

 

 

Charley Mabes, Grounds/Custodian

Charley has worked at WFMC as the maintenance and groundskeeper since October 2004. He is an outdoor kind of guy and enjoys his job very much.

He and his wife, Nancy, have been married for 36 years. They have one daughter and three granddaughters which they enjoy dearly. In his spare time, Charley enjoys watching a good baseball or football game on TV.

 

Mitch Michkiosky, Custodian

Mitch and his wife, Debra, moved to Wenatchee in 1981. Mitch was hired as the Head Tennis Pro at the local Raquet Club. After a few years of being a tennis pro and College Tennis Coach, Mitch pursued the insurance business and then became involved at WFMC with the facility team.

Mitch also performs special music with the harmonica, which he teaches and performs at local venues. Mitch and Debra have three children, Katie, Mariah, and Jared (wife, Bekah and thier son McClane), all of which are involved in church activites.

Al Burgener, Maintenance & Repair

Al led the Facility Department at WFMC for 15 years before retiring. Now he's back to help out, part time, as our resident "fix it" man. Al is married to Georgia and they have four grown daughters and 12 grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoys working in his yard.

 

 

Connection Ministries 

 

Becky Bren, Director of Connection Ministries

Becky Bren began working at WFMC in 1997 as a part time administrative assistant in the Worship Arts Office. In 1998, she became the Children's Ministries Director until 2004, when she transitioned into her position as the Volunteer Ministries Director and now Director of Connection Ministries. Assisting people to find the right place to serve and make a connection at WFMC is her joy and privilege!

Becky and her husband, Pat, have two grown children. She enjoys spending time with family whenever possible. She loves to take photos, so if you see Becky with a camera, just smile!

 

Terri Hibbett, Administrative Assistant, Connection Ministries

Terri started working as administrative assistant at WFMC in 2006. She loves connecting and enabling people to reach out to others in ways GOD has equipped them. Besides working with people in the Wenatchee area, Terri has traveled on mission trips to Mississippi, Costa Rica, and Burundi.

Terri has been married for over 30 years, has two grown daughters, loves experimenting in the kitchen, puttering in the garden, and walking just about anywhere!

 

 

Joi West, Communications Coordinator

Joi has worked at WFMC since 2004. Her primary goal is to attract new Christians, keep WFMC members informed of current events and activities, and guide people to Jesus through attractive, attention-getting website design, graphics, and printed materials.

Joi is married to her best friend, Jeff. They have two children, Alyssa and Matthew. The West's enjoy exploring off-road, hiking, boating, camping, playing games, target practice, raising birds and dogs, and volunteering in the church and community. Joi has a passion for art and loves drawing, painting, interior & landscape design, graphic colorist, costume design and construction, upholstry, and photography.

Executive Pastor Jim Harbour

In 23 years of ministry, following God's call has taken Jim from serving as a Presbyterian Youth Pastor to an English teacher to an Operations Pastor to an Estate and Gift Planning Associate to that of an Executive Pastor. Jim states, "It is an amazing privilege for my wife, Rebecca, and I to serve the Wenatchee Free Methodist Church and lead the staff in implementing the church's vision." Jim and Rebecca have a daughter, Erin (married to Donnie), and a son, Jesse.

 

 

Linda Bondo, Administrative Assistant

Linda has lived in the Wenatchee Valley since 1992. She has been married to husband, Paul, for 30 years. They enjoy their wonderful and growing family including daughter Kirsten, her husband Kurt, and four grandsons, Cooper, Carter, Krey, and Mac, who all live in Corvallis, Oregon; son Jordan and his wife, Crystal, and their newest addition, Lucy, born January 2013; and son Erik and his wife, Audri.

After serving at WFMC for a number of years in the late 90’s, Linda has returned to the WFMC staff in April 2013, and again enjoys working as Administrative Assistant to Executive Pastor Jim Harbour, and serving as God calls her.
