Changes that Heal *Sundays

Support Group at 6PM, WFMC
Kevin & Catharina Berg and Nancy Mabes will guide a new support group for couples and singles using the book by Dr. Henry Cloud: Changes That Heal. The focus of this group is to provide a safe place to share our struggles and the process of transforming to the likeness of Christ. Each meeting will feature teaching and separate breakout conversations. Email the Bergs or Nancy or sign-up at the Welcome Center.

Marriage Strengthening Small Group *Wed

Want to strengthen your marriage? Join this small group, led by Jeff and Judy Smith, on Wednesdays at 5:30PM in Room 502. If you are interested in exploring membership at WFMC, you are invited to join Pastor Joshua & Amanda on Wed, Feb 8, from 6:30-8PM in the Chapel. Pastor Joshua will share his heart and his vision for WFMC. You’ll have an opportunity to ask questions during this informal time together. Attending the session does not commit you to membership. Freedom Conference *2.11

There's a rising global scourge in this century. It is the spectre of slavery and trafficking of children and youth. Today, millions of young people are being held against their will and used for forced labor, commercial sex trafficking, and to pay down family debts. This crisis is closer to home than you may believe. Join us on Feb 11, from 10am-2pm at WFMC to learn how you can get involved. Childcare will be provided. Confident Kids *2.13

Sometimes children are caught in the midst of choices being made by others that can “undo” their lives. They have a hard time expressing their feelings or even understanding what they are going through. Our next 8-week session of Confident Kids begins February 13 and is entitled, Growing Through Changes. This session will point kids and their parents to the hope found in Jesus as well as give them excellent tools to navigate through difficult changes. Confident Kids is for kids ages 5 – 12 and meets on Monday nights from 6:30–8PM. The concurrent parent support group is required so that all family members are “on the same page” during the week as they seek to put these tools into practice. Childcare is available upon request. as a mission team to partner with Sister Connection to work
with a youth camp for over 500 orphans and children of widows;
exploring possible ways of partnering similarly in the future.
The team will be in Burundi July 17-30, 2012.

Parent Date Night *2.26

Do you want quality, free childcare for your children while you go out with your spouse? Why not share the child care responsibilities with other parents? Parents take turns providing childcare while others go out on a date. Our next "Date Night" is Sunday, Feb 26, from 5:30 -8pm.

Life During Grief *2.29

Have you (or do you know someone who has) experienced a significant loss and need some help in the journey? The good news is Pastor Floyd Schwanz is again making his Life During Grief workshop available. It begins Wednesday, Feb 29, 7-8:30pm in the Chapel and concludes eight weeks later on April 18. Registration is $30 and scholarships are available.

Perhaps you can invite a friend, “Would you go with me?” We meet at tables so we can have discussion, but no one is required to talk. Call the church office to register, 662.1502.

Divorce Recovery *3.4

If you have experienced divorce or a broken relationship? Divorce Recovery is a caring group of people who will walk alongside you through this difficult experience. It’s led by people who understand what you are going through, and have resources to help. You’ll gain access to valuable information to help with pain, healing, and restoration after loss. The next 12-week class begins Sunday, March 4, 6-7:30pm in the Chapel. The cost is $50 and you don’t have to pre-register, just come.
