BC's provide a relational connection in a medium size group where the Bible is taught with the goal of helping people become fully-formed followers of Jesus Christ. BC's are taking a summer break, but they will start back up in the fall. To learn more about these classes, click the link below.

Missions and Ice Cream * 8.1

Interested in missions? Enjoy eating ice cream? Then mark a spot on your calendar for Sun, Aug 1, Room 501/502 at 6PM. WFMC missionaries Eric & Casey Zimmerman will be sharing a powerful video and some amazing stories about how God is reaching the tribal people of Papua New Guinea. You won’t want to miss this special time of sharing and encouragement, with a brief time for questions and answers. Come with your appetite, because afterward there will be a smorgasbord of ice cream and toppings galore. There will even be a drawing for some stylish Kodiak Aircraft tee shirts and hats! Come and spend some time getting to know the Zimmermans and fellowshipping with one another. Stick around for as long as you like…or until you can’t eat anymore ice cream! See you there!

Fun in the SON * 8.4

Bowling at Eastmont Lanes! Meet at the bowling alley at 6:30PM. This may be the only time you win prizes for striking out! Cost: $5, bring money for food or drink purchases.

Global Leadership Summit * 8.5-6

Effective leaders are the agents of transformation. They call out what's wrong, set goals, launch initiatives, motivate, challenge, and move people to get on the solution side of solving our worst problems. Pastors, teachers, business leaders, law enforcement officials, politicians, musicians, athletes, and others are answering the call and choosing to lead where they are to make a lasting difference.

Far more than an annual training event, The Global Leadership Summit has become a galvanizing event in this worldwide leadership movement. Leaders representing an amazing diversity of race, cultures, ethnicity, languages, and denominations are coming together to give themselves to redeem and restore this broken world.

Fundraiser for Hope Academy, Nigeria * 8.8

The WFMC Library is holding a book and media fundraiser on Sun, Aug 8, from 8AM-1PM in Room 501/502 for the Hope Academy School Library in Nigeria. Bridget Myers, who is presently serving in Nigeria with her husband, Devin, and 2 sons, is setting up a library for the children who attend Hope school. We will have cassettes, DVD's, CD's, videos, audio books, teaching media, and books available for all ages. Come pick out something that interests you and help Bridget by making a donation.

Fun in the SON * 8.11

Mariners game at Safeco Field! We're headed to the Mariners vs. Oakland game. Meet at WFMC at 8:45AM, game time is at 12:40PM. The bus will leave the church at 9AM SHARP and return at about 7PM. We have great seats this year! Cost: $30 Release form is required AND you must sign up by Aug 5. Limited space available, so sign up early!

Back-to-School Clothing Give-Away* 8.14

Save this date on your calendar: Sat, Aug 14. We will need many volunteers to help at Serve Wenatchee Valley’s big summer event where free shoes and school clothes are given away to approximately 1000 school aged kids! Please take a look at the list of volunteer needs and see which ones might work best for you. There will be a sign-up sheet in the foyer during the months of July and August! You may also email Becky Bren to sign up or get more information.

• Serve cookies and juice
• Assist at the clothing tables
• Help with set-up (early in the morning)

GO THE DISTANCE Sports Camp* 8.16-20

Think VBS…but with a sports twist! Open for kids entering kindergarten through 5th grade in the fall. Camp will be filled with fun, games, Bible stories, sports training, great worship, and teaching of biblical principles that gives us all practical tips to help us “GO THE DISTANCE” in our lives.
