Kids today are profoundly impacted by high stress situations. Confident Kids is a powerful support group for kids and their caregivers. It is a Bible based support group ministry offering a life skills curriculum that helps families with children ages 5-12 years old dealing with the stresses of living in today’s world. Through games, crafts, skits, and small group discussions, children learn important skills while in a safe place to talk about their life experiences. In a concurrent group, parents learn to apply these same skills at home while in a safe place to share their stories as well. In both groups, participants grow as they discover they are not alone in their pain. Parents/caregivers are required to attend the Adult Support Group.
Confident Kids meets Mondays at WFMC from 6:30-8 pm.
Growing Through Changes - Nothing Stays the Same Forever, February 2 through March 23
Children and parents learn to deal with the significant changes in their lives by grieving the losses that occur when things change. They learn to identify and manage the six stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance, and hope.
Making Wise Choices - I Always, Always Have Choices, April 6 through May 18
Children and parents learn the difference between wise choices and how to find wise adults when they need to ask for help.
Childcare is available by request.
Brochures are available at the Information Center in the Lobby or CLICK HERE (PDF).

MOPS (Mothers Of Pre-Schoolers)
MOPS International exists to encourage, equip, and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother, and leader in the name of Jesus Christ. Moms of children, infants through kindergarten, meet with other moms as well as mentor moms who have had some of the same experiences. As a group, moms have the opportunity to discuss concerns and ask questions all while knowing that their children are being cared for onsite by loving and caring childcare volunteers. MOPS is a great way to make new friends and connect with other moms.
MOPS meets September - May on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month from 9-11 AM in the Fireside Room. Registration is limited and is available on a first come first served basis. For more info or to register, contact Jill Thayer.
