We offer compassionate care to those in need through the following ministries and support groups:

Kids today are profoundly impacted by high stress situations. Confident Kids is a powerful support group for kids and their caregivers. It is a Bible based support group ministry offering a life skills curriculum that helps families with children ages 5-12 years old dealing with the stresses of living in today’s world. Through games, crafts, skits, and small group discussions, children learn important skills while in a safe place to talk about their life experiences. In a concurrent group, parents learn to apply these same skills at home while in a safe place to share their stories as well. In both groups, participants grow as they discover they are not alone in their pain. Parents/caregivers are required to attend the Adult Support Group.
Confident Kids meets Mondays at WFMC from 6:30-8 pm.
NEW UNIT! Telling Myself the Truth
Begins September 15 through November 3
Do you ever talk to yourself? Everyone does – all the time! From the minute we get up in the morning until we fall asleep at night, our heads are full of dialogue, which we call self-talk. It is the collection of messages we play in our heads, the voice of our personal belief system based on experiences and relationships we have had throughout our lives. The problem with self-talk is that sometimes self-talk statements are true and sometimes they are not! God desires for you to tell yourself the truth in your heart of hearts, but He also promises to be present with you, and speak to you, in that most private, inner place.
On Monday, September 15, we will begin our 10th year of Confident Kids at WFMC. CK is designed for children ages 5-12 and their parents who are struggling with life issues. These struggles may be the result of divorce, the death of a loved one, painful relationships, upsetting change, or just trying to cope in the complicated world in which we live.
The success of this ministry depends on the following elements:
• A faithful, committed leadership team.
• Life skills that are taught each week in a safe, support group setting.
• Concurrent Parent/Caregiver Group (required)
• Regular Attendance
• The power of God’s Word – it is only through the life-giving Word of God that participants can deal with the issues in their lives.
Childcare is available by request.
Brochures are available at the Information Center in the lobby.

MOPS (Mothers Of Pre-Schoolers)
MOPS International exists to encourage, equip, and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother, and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.
Moms of children, infants through kindergarten, meet with other moms with kids in the same age range as well as mentor moms who have had some of the same experiences. As a group, moms will have the opportunity to discuss concerns and ask questions of others all while knowing that their children are being cared for onsite by loving and caring childcare volunteers. MOPS is a great way to make new friends and connect with other moms.
MOPS meets September - May on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month from 9-11 AM in the Fireside Room. Registration is limited and is available on a first come first served basis. For more info or to register, contact Jill Thayer.
