Support Ministry

We offer compassionate care to those in need through support groups for those hurting from divorce, loss of a loved one, and children and their parents with family challenges.

We also have a new Senior Care Team ready to minister to provide ongoing ministry to various seniors at WFMC.

Senior Care — We have people at WFMC who wish to minister to seniors that have practical needs for assistance or spiritual ministry. We welcome your assistance in discovering seniors in WFMC who might need care. We hope to provide weekly and/or monthly help for those who need a visit, prayer, communion, help with shopping, perhaps a few minor repairs on their property, occasional cleaning, etc.

Please report legitimate needs like these to our Senior Care Team.

Divorce Recovery — If you have experienced divorce or a broken relationship, Divorce Recovery is a caring group of people who will walk alongside you through this difficult experience. It’s led by people who understand what you are going through and have resources to help. You’ll gain access to valuable information to help with pain, healing, and restoration after loss.

Confident KidsWouldn’t it be great if we had a place to give focused time and attention to families in our community who are struggling…a place where we could offer support and encouragement, pray with them, and teach them skills to cope with their life circumstances? We do! Confident Kids is that place! It is a Bible-based support group ministry that helps families with children ages 5-12 deal with the stresses of living in today’s world. Kids work together in small groups with their facilitators, while their parents/caregivers meet nearby, sharing experiences and learning ways to help their child. At home, parent/caregiver and child work together to reinforce what they are learning in class. The heart of the program is the curriculum which includes the following topics: Facing My Feelings: All my feelings are OK; Making Wise Choices: "I always, always have choices; Growing Through Changes: Nothing stays the same forever; and Living in My Family: There are no perfect families.

CK/CF is for kids ages 5-12 and their parents/caregivers. Childcare is now available for children under age five.  Please note: parents/caregivers are required to be a part of the concurrent adult support group. Brochures are available at the Welcome Center.
